This is the invitation sent from Apple for a media event schedule to take place tomorrow (23rd October) where the company are expected to release more products… Let’s analyse the picture…

Following the release of the iPhone 5, Apple are now suggesting they have a little more to show us. Apple are famous for their subliminal messages. Some might remember the ’5′ shadow prior to the iPhone 5 release. I can’t see this invitation being for the iPhone 5S so soon

But note, they have a LITTLE more to show us. That may suggest something smaller than ordinary… The Apple logo of course. Think about the colours in the background. This would suggest the latest Apple product or gadget will be available in different colours much like the iPod family.

Our analysis of this would point to a 7 inch iPad Mini available in lots of different colours. Controversial whether it is the right move for Apple to make but there is certainly a gap left in the market that will make Amazon and Google slightly sweaty under the collar.

The iPad mini is expected to sport a smaller bezel than the normal sized iPad we are already familiar with, and 1,024-by-768 pixel screen resolution looks likely. That would allow it to run native iPad 2 applications without any alterations (Like the new iPhone 5 resolution). It is also expected to have forward and rear facing cameras, as well as the new smaller Lightning connector found on the iPhone 5 and latest iPods.

It is unlikely that Apple will hold an event specifically targetting the iPad Mini, so insider information would suggest that a new MacBook Pro with Retina display 13″ model will be released and possibly the newest iMac!

It’s finally here. We have been given a date for the iPhone 5 to b released. Apple has invited members of the press to attend a San Francisco product launch event on September 12th, where the iPhone 5 is expected to be officially unveiled.

Expected around March time, it would be interesting to see how the iPad 4 will shape up to the new iPad (iPad 3) we have now. Will the size and resolution be the same? We think so but the real question is – Will Apple decide a new market of smaller tablets be the way forward? ie – the iPad Mini? Personally, an iPad Mini would be disastrous right now INSTEAD of a next-gen full-sized iPad, but would love to see it as an addition to the range!

Price tag is expected to be similar to that of the new iPad and iPad 2 when they were both originally released.

Another interesting rumour circulating about the iPad 4 is the introduction of an iPad only stylus. Rumoured to be named (drum roll?) iPen.

OK, so it’s not exactly an original name, but if reports prove to be accurate, the ‘iPen’ will sense movement and provide feedback to users through a built in speaker – that’s subject to a patent filing by Apple, which was announced by the United States Patent & Trademark Office a few months ago.

According to the Apple-dedicated site: Patently Apple, the iPen will host “haptic feedback” capabilities. This means users may feel a slight vibration if they’re applying too much or not enough pressure while using the iPad for drawing, for example.

It is also reported to have sensors on the iPen itself and receivers on the iPad so that it can respond to air gestures. We think this would be a much better idea for a heightened sensitivity TV control. (Maybe the iTV? )

What do we know already about the iPhone 5? Plenty, but the most exciting in our opinion is the chance of a bigger screen!

Apple has placed several orders for larger display panels (4-inches and over) from its suppliers, according to sources inside Asia. Does this mean Apple’s iPhone 5 will feature a bigger display than the iPhone 4S?

We think it does. Apple would have to drastically alter the design and specification of the current design the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S sports. Kicking out another iPhone 4-styled device will not work whatsoever. That means a new chassis and, as nearly every leak has suggested, a bigger display as well.

The Wall Street Journal reports ‘production is set to begin next month for the screens, which measure at least 4 inches diagonally compared with 3.5 inches on the iPhone 4S.’

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard reports of Apple producing an iPhone with a bigger display. One report from a few weeks ago even went as far as saying Apple would release a handset with a 5-inch display, effectively copying the beautiful Samsung Galaxy Note.

The answer is that 5 inches is a little bit extreme. the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S sold like hotcakes. Apple has the winning formula already in place. All it needs to do with the iPhone 5 is modify it slightly, and the best way to do that is to give consumers what they want: a slightly bigger display (4-inches) and a remodelled chassis.
